Another journey through Vermont
I remember a slow drive,
peering through foliage
At green mountains,
Trying to find a trailhead.

I remember poking and peering
In a frantic search
To find my hiking boots,
Somehow forgotten.

I remember everything,
But my warmest thoughts
Are of your laughter
At my jokes.

I remember our journeys
And forget why we parted,
But each path leads to somewhere.
I remember love.
