An old poem/song about unrequited love and personal demons
Anna’s Angels

Anna’s angels are hovering
Over every single corner of me
Flying wings, they are shadowing
Shadowing all the things I see
Anna’s angels are still fading
But they follow every time I see a pretty face
Hello demon, I see you dancing
Though you fear the open space

Goodbye hometown I got to build myself
A shrine of bottles to my collapse
Hello new love, are you feeling well
Anna’s angels hold my hand as I run past
Goodbye mother, I got to leave this home
Do I feel like a stranger that’s coming home soon?
Goodbye father, I’m going on my own
I can’t stand the walls in this room

Hello demon, you’re a rotten being
Hold me like a child and tell me I’m worth nothing
Anna’s angels not leaving
So I can only hope that I’ll find a certain something
Hello old you, what are you doing?
Tracing the pictures on the inside of her mind
Anna’s angels are not leaving
So the answer don’t matter that much to you or I

When the crisis comes I’ll stand there silently

When the crisis comes I’ll stand there silently

When the crisis comes I’ll stand there silently

When the crisis comes…

I’ll stand there silently
