in a Quatern poem mutation
Just like in Norman Rockwell paintings,
red and gold leaves blanket our front yard,
where my brothers and sisters frolic,
until Mama calls them for dinner.

My friends and I climb the apple tree,
just like in Norman Rockwell paintings,
where family values are portrayed
in terms that everyone comprehends.

Our dad tended garden all summer,
from sowing seeds to reaping produce,
just like in Norman Rockwell paintings,
which portray the simple things in life.

At the end of bountiful season,
Mama's busy roasting yellow squash
for our village harvest festival,
just like in Norman Rockwell paintings.
