My Past Revisited: Written in 2000
I really wish you wouldn’t,
but if you must insist.
All I’m really asking
is to grant one simple wish.
Do you remember you once loved me
and how you held me through the night?
Never needing a special occasion
to just sit and hold each other tight?
Remember nights we sat and talked
sharing all our dreams.
Wishing upon our favorite star
and now what a waste it seems.
Remember how I kissed you
and nibbled on your ear?
Now that was pure exctasy
just to hold you near!
I thought we were meant to be
so imagine my surprise.
When I came to our special place
you were searching anothers eyes.
When you find some time alone
and think of all I’ve said,
ask your self this question
that echoes in my head.
Was your stupidity worth your loss?
Or was it all in vain?
Please help me find an answer
to help and ease my pain.
Remember too how I was the one
who got the short end of the stick.
You promised me the world…..
and all I got was DICK!!
