On a mountain in Michigan
Michigan, the singer said, was a boy’s dream.
One more thought set to melody
Under the guise of entertainment,
Now fiction, nearly forgotten.
The music pulls me forward.

Arvon Mountain; no birds’ song,
Ravens and dark crows,
Vultures of high places scream,
One more thought set to melody,
Now fiction, nearly forgotten.

Michigan, the singer said, was a boy’s dream.
In these memories I am on Arvon,
Clinging to rocks as I climb.
Here I am above the clouds;
In these memories I am on Arvon.
Green trees and grass below
As the wind whispers stories,
Now fiction; nearly forgotten.
