A firefly enters a grave
So long have I laid here alone
The darkness ne’re disturbed
No light could creep beneath the stone
Or my slumber e’re perturbed

How long it’s been, I do not know
Until that spark of light
Entered the darkness, just a glow
With fairy wings a flight

Am I alive still? just a dream
Of death? But eyes they are not blind
My face is stiff, I cannot scream
My arms and legs confined

Yet a firefly has found its way
Into my sacred tomb
Brought gentle light into decay
And brightened up the gloom
