As a child I was told that I was not meant to be, but My heart and I knew better

Heart Begin

Heart begin
I heard it
Past
I hear it
Present
Inward
It hides
Inside
We reside
It
And I
Truth of life
Power of fight
Will
Truest
Such form
As I must
I live
I should be done
Dead
Deceased
Without
In regard of
Said belief
But here I am
As I was meant
A life lent
Given
Heart begin
Without science
Technology
Or a methodology
Do as is
As what’s said
I hear it
In this head
Beating
In this chest
Telling me
Live
Insisting
It’s a gift
Heart begin
Born of chaos
Raised by monsters
Abhorrent humans
Who hated me
For existing
I was a mistake
A fact often told
By liars in kind
Repetitively
I listened
But as they spoke
I made my own plan
I am not like them
How could I be
Heart begin
I hear you
I know you
We own each other
A partnership
Of each other’s
Very existence
I won’t betray you
You have never once
Betrayed me
All that I know
All that was exposed
Was overcome by us
We are as one
A symbiotic fate
Bound by a life
That has long become
More than was meant
And more than
Could have been
They are all gone
Those who said
I was a mistake
Now
It’s just you and I
I hear you
I feel you
I know you
You understand me
Heart begin
Never end
Until what we do
Is far greater
Then what we’ve done…
