Just a thought.

Through open windows, I see prison walls.

Not built with stone or iron rods.

But a foggy concoction mixing distance and time.

A distance can be traveled, driven, or strolled.

However, time is different, without feeling or charm.

Time marches, marked by the clock, mocked by a tic and replying toc.

Unlike many things, time cannot be earned or saved.

Time is given to spend or waste away.

This instant now becomes then, forever in the past, never returning again.

So here's the question, my dear friend.

If not now? Then when?
