Never enough. Neither I, nor you.
Your love is toxic,
and yet
I fell
so deep I couldn't tell
which direction
would lead me out.
But, truth be told,
I wanted in
only deeper
even as I drowned.

Your love is toxic;
not love at all,
but it felt more like love
than love itself.
Too heavy to be in;
too enticing to leave.
I couldn't breathe.
But never mind that need
when there was you.

Your love is toxic,
but please give me more.
I'd die for a taste
of that poison.
One more hit.
Never enough:
neither I, nor you.
