Trick or treaters have disappointments - a poem.
Heaven is precluded,
Animus secured -
Now to be excluded,
Horrid spite endured…

Halloween is coming,
Candlelit and carved;
Ghosts and ghouls summing,
Gamely tummies starved.

Newly seen as glory…
Random struggles strike.
Now the same, so gory -
Costumes bring a ‘like’.

Humanity so something;
Timely, how it seems.
Cherished like a new thing,
Trick-or-treater dreams.
