A rocks gotta have history too. (Don't ask it to talk)

Stillness

Still I lay and still I am.
I am but a rock, still-laying by the shore.
The drums of earth being beat by heavy rain.
And the ocean's grey waves flowing like time.
Ever still I lay and still I shall remain.

Born from fire, and crafted by wind and rain
Travelled by river from highlands old
An untold legacy of trials and hardship
Is what I burdened.

From the wars of creation
To a lone beach retired.
Surrounded by my kin.
And Laying ever still.

Sleeping forever on the shores of time.
