"Loving means destruction," she'd once again say
She was born of fire
while he was made of ice

"Loving means destruction," she'd say.

But he didn't know of love
only that she filled his heart with light

Scorching the earth below,
and blinding every being in sight.

He'd reach out to her,
but she'd only pull away.

"Loving means destruction," she'd once again say.

He sat in wait for the tell-tale flame
In wait for the perfect time

The time where she'd accept
And see him for all that he was

That night he saw it coming,
as she finally felt his love

She reached out a hand for him to meet,
but no longer was he ice.

"You see, loving means destruction," she said to the puddle, who now understood.
"but sometimes it's worth the price."

The two opposite hearts had met by mistake
soon hopelessly intertwined

A truly tragic story
She stared and said she won't repeat it twice

Because while she was trapped as fire,
He was stuck as ice.
