A lonely bare tree amind the busy summer colours and fields, with a forest backdrop
Alone in Natures Glory

Here I stand In Natures Glory.
Around me, I see the beauty that I once was.
Green and golden fields from my feet to the horizon.
In the distance, I see those just like me,
In Autumn’s gold and Summers green leaves.

I hear around me birds singing.
In my neighbor's bushy arms babies chirping for food.
In the West, trains speed through nature’s garden.
Children and adults walk the river's path,
Seeing the glory one has given.

Yet in a land that was me, I stand alone,
Standing bare and rotten,
No leaves or buds.
With rotten bark to cover me in the winter cold,
Yet burns in the summer’s sun.

Cold, bare, and slowly dying in Natures Glory,
For I’m old and not part of this beauty,
Yet I stand with the odd visitor that flies by,
Knowing that nature accepted me as one of its own,
To die in nature's glory.
