Outside looking in.

He gave me a galaxy.
The orb appeared to float in the darkness,
and yet, I could manipulate it,
turning it over in my hands, presenting
a new perspective.
Grasping a moment,
I toss it across the room
-- temper tantrum of a god.
Calm to stand at the outer edge
of the far-flung side while
at the same time
be inside the eye
blinking against the stardust of tomorrow.

Even a mere speck in the cosmos,
infinite minutia in the manic scheme
can spark a change,
tilt systems on edge,
and reinvent forever.
