A blissful journey into the world of past
The Walls of Dark

I set my sail to the land of greens
with a spirited soul to see the world
of bright sunshine and full of smiles
welcoming me with mysteries unfurled.

But I lost my star and drifted away
to the grey islands of the unknown waves
with paths of sand but no footprints
into the land of unconquered caves.

Baffled and tired I trudged through the sands
leading to the world that defied the ages
The eerie of the caves beckoned me
into gates of history penned through pages.

The mammoth palms of the circling dark
pushed me through the quilt of mist
My eyes were wet as I looked in awe
at the obscure beauty with silence in tryst.

The endless path I traversed upon
was lined up with the shimmering ray
of my only chum in these lonely hours
the rising moon showing me way.

Scuffled and tired I slumbered upon
the end of the cave on silvery grass
The dew from the sky comforted me
to the tranquil of my sleep blanketed by stars.

The waking hours of the morning sky
were bright and shine from the glimmering Sun
And as I opened my eyes I saw
a different world with an archaic hymn

A Lion gate from the crimson ruins
stood tall and stout in rendition
To stage a sojourn in wings of time
through shadows of mystery in apparition.

The arched gate enthralled me
with a deserted garden and colossal stands
Waned and bricked by the passing of years
they have shielded a mansion on this forgotten land.

The dusty walls of the spectral house
mazed and hugged by the creepers
Welcomed me to their ethereal silence
and listen to their whispers deeper.

And here I was at the Walls of dark
setting my foot on the murky floor
with broken windows and spider web
as I walked perturbed through another door

It led me to a halcyon room
through spiral stairs with crackling noise
And I sensed a whiff of the icy wind
fanning my hair but I stood in poise.

I stood spellbound in this timeless beauty
with untold stories and unheard cries
I savoured the spectre of the unseen ones
who lived in here with elegant guise.

And so long my journey ends
to the forgotten land with the Walls of Dark
And I tuned my compass to hone my way
through the rising tide with a heavy heart.
