It may not seem a manly thing
Okay, okay, it’s not so cool
but I just love that sound.
So I still play those ABBA songs
when no one is around.

It may not seem a manly thing
but I will sing along.
Those snappy tunes get in my head.
To me they can’t go wrong.

I don’t know how those Swedes do that.
Their songs seem accent free.
And I don’t know what you may think
but they sound great to me.

Those happy tunes have quite a beat.
They make me want to dance.
But if you saw me doing that
you’d surely look askance.

I turn the music way up loud
when no one else is here.
And, Mama Mia, it is fun,
those songs I love to hear.

But my wife will be coming soon.
She went out to the store.
I’ll have to turn my ABBA off
before she’s at the door.

I’ll play more ABBA later on
when no one can complain.
Not everyone is such a fan.
My wife thinks I’m insane.

And maybe she is right for once.
But who is she to know?
I know that she can’t get enough
of Barry Manilow.
