a woman loses her love and escapes into the night for release
Amour at Midnight

Sun descends, colors bring promises to me.
Night beckons, I prepare for sensual dreams.
In sleep, I run to you, eager to step within shadows.
We become one, I breathe warm life into chilly death.

Mystic melodies play, bring lust to surreal dreams.
We dance to gentle rhythms, familiar moves.
Love lives again in deep internal hymns,
written by desperate lovers gone before us.

Crystals of vibrant colors dance.
Breezes blow, lifting my chiffon gown.
My golden hair swings as you spin me,
laughter shimmers, spiced by delight.

I startle to reality, my Mom hovers.
Smell of coffee, warm cinnamon buns.
Six months gone, teardrops fall as I shower.
I spend my day yearning for night.
