Micro fiction challenge week 3 won Honorable Mention in theHumorous Short Story Contest
I stuffed my change purse with quarters. That was the last thing to pack up. The bags were sitting by the front door waiting. I just had to load them in the car. “I’m leaving!”

“What! No! What did I do! I can change! Please give me another chance!” my wife cried desperately from the kitchen. She ran into the foyer throwing herself at my feet, “Don’t leave me!”

I sighed heavily and turned to pick up the heavy bags by the door, “Dear god! I am going to do laundry! I’ll be back in a few hours. Drama Queen!”
