I wrote this while in a dark mood, but still I smile and write.
Time is running out, I am not getting any younger
But time seems to stand still as I sit, think and wonder.

I reflect on the past memories of Dad, Mum and friends
It never came to me that it all sadly ends.

Caught in a memory of my life gone by
It is time to say good bye to the bright blue sky.

As the darkness engulfs me, I still smile, smerk and cheer
I often say to myself, "Oh yes, another year".

So as I write this little poem and life gets a little tough
I'll always sing a lovely song, the melodies seem enough.

And when your thoughts of memories come crashing down on you
Remember that there's someone else who is going through it too.
