A poem I wrote when I was down.
A lost directionless soul
On the lonely train of life
Onward to the final stop
Cheap red wine and pills can't numb my pain
Still I force them down
Like Chris Cornell without the rope
Like Kurt Cobain without a gun
On I run
Into the darkness
Faces fade like memories of what once was and should have been
Inside my mind just wants to scream
And I can't stop these voices in my head
Afraid of life that I must live
The black it holds me captive
But I go on
Until the end
