The apple is sweet, but the sweetness is deadly.
When passion bears such tasty fruit as this,
I can't forbear the produce to consume!
When conversation offers such a kiss,
your lips become to me a lovely tomb.

Then kill me quickly with such deadly sweets,
That I may join you soon in Heaven's hand!
Your voice is fire! My hollow spirit heats
To warm that former dark and barren land.
