The thunder warns of trouble,
with lightning ripping through;
lying in the rubble,
bleeding yellow... blue

Storm clouds on the the border,
preach of springtime passing by;
a falling breach of order,
in a darkened winter sky

A summary of patterns,
a sequence of events;
tired worn out battons,
relayed in cracked cement

Betrayed by massing storm clouds,
blackbirds on the frame;
crass claims, played of safe shrouds,
... a liberating flame

Acting out the saviour,
massing on the wing;
the mask of a betrayer,
with lullabies, they sing

Sirens of a different sort,
sound out from the debris;
crying out for help, support,
amidst an urban sea

Tarmac, concrete, shifted round,
in waves, a coming storm;
a front, complete, truths sifted, wound,
a tempest finding form

with forces frought and flagging,
invaded by the swarm;
'midst sources taut and lagging,
and sanctions twisted, torn

Beyond the sling of arrows,
with reactions fragile, prone;
casually it narrows,
the casting out of stones

with hails in the homelands,
ignored and overruled;
sin resides with idle hands,
objection storms march, pulled

A squall, recycled, remixed blight,
gods bless the souls passed through;
rising like a phoenix, bright,
burning yellow... blue
