Music is the language of emotion.

Music is the language of emotion.

I don’t dream dreams,
I dream movies
Complete with music
The language of emotion,

Smells, sounds, sights
Feelings
Strange people.

Strange exotic locations
Often in foreign lands
Or alien worlds.

Every morning
I wake up
With the music
From my dreams,

Playing on
Like an earworm
I cannot shake

During the day
The music comes
And goes.

Eventually beckoning me
To fall asleep
To be swept away

Into the land
Of my nightly dreams
My real homeland.
