Piece of "Abstract" or free-style poetry.
Despair

So many battles here and now,
The wrinkles burned into my brow,
A stage is set…
The time - not yet,
The love I crave I just can’t get.

The only place to run and hide is deep inside
where monsters hide,
With tennis shoes and ugly eyes,
Spewing hatred with their lies,
To me they’re real,
They come and go,
Like bodies buried in the snow.

The ghostly hands reach tender space,
The pain is clear upon my face,
Some haunting music loudly plays (but through a haze),
Just words of praise,
From gods I’ve questioned here and there
No answers come from times of prayer.

The scars forgotten from the past,
The sands through fingers end at last,
The point of no return is near,
Not one of us can change I fear,
Our heads we bury in the sand,
The situation’s close at hand.

Men of honor – there are so few,
Have done as much as they can do,
The masses revel in the trash,
The souls are lost and turned to ash,
No Armageddon - Rapture’s grace,
Just disappear without a trace!
