I don't have regrets at all
Being old is new to me.
(Does that make any sense?
Like something Yogi Berra said.
I may be getting dense.)

It doesn’t seem so long ago
I thought I had it all.
Then middle age crept up on me
- like hitting a brick wall.

Now middle age is in the past,
a fading memory.
The good ol’ days have come and gone
as far as I can see.

Well, I’ll just have to do my best,
that’s all that I can do.
Just lather, rinse and then repeat.
There’s really nothing new.

But I don’t have regrets at all
now that I’m looking back.
Yeah, shoulda, woulda, coulda thoughts
are something that I lack.

I’ll make the best of my time left,
forget about the past.
In fact I’ll just enjoy myself
and make the good times last.

Carpe diem!
