Week 10 of the microfiction challenge.
My stomach lurched to a stop along with the elevator. It threw my balance and I grasped randomly for support. The man I inadvertently reached for reacted by embracing me in strong arms hidden beneath a formal three-piece suit. I looked up into his eyes attempting to reflect thanks in my own. My eyes fastened on his deep blue eyes as though they had a magnetic pull.

“Thanks.”

He responded with his barritone, “No problem.”

Was I imagining a spark of interest in his eyes? I traced the strong line of his jaw with my fluttering heart. Was this love?
