A poem inspired by life
Even if I shake,
Know my hearts just worried it'll break,
Can't keep pretending I'm bi or straight,
When I'm gay,
When I was young I got pressured easyily into just saying okay I'll date Barbie,
But the thing is... I only drew my name on her in dry erase but I drew my name on Ken in sharpie,
I believe it's disgusting to look me in the eyes and tell me you love me,
When you can't even accept who I wanna be,
Stop pressuring,
Stop pressuring,
I never told you to date a woman,
I never told you to date a man...
I'm a be honest you'll never understand,
I can't pretend to love something if I feel nothing when I hold their hand,
This act of trickery,
It'd be dishonest to them and untrue to me,
Because when I see,
A man lying in the sand I can't believe,
The beauty that sits in front of me,
Things happen for a reason and now I can read a portion of the script the universe wrote there on the beach,
And I can tell that with that girl you wanted for me... I'd have never been happy.
