Perfectly innocent, He died and rose again for humans, who, like me, are perfectly guilty.
The day He, Jesus, rose up from the grave
began all of the days of new life in rebirth for me.
His Father God's Invitation has called to save
this my heart from sin to make me everlastingly free.

This life is hard. I've lived it so, but it will not forever be hard.
He lived my shame on one Friday in the past.
He was delivering me from lasting care and pain in Hell.
They beat His body raw. On the cross, He breathed His last.

I want to live so well for my dear and blessed Lord,
Whose death for me was in love for He offended in nothing.
This life He promised is written about in His Holy Word.
My Gift from Him was blood-washed bought on His cruelly endured cross.

His resurrection was for me that I'd arise when my first physical life was through.
What painful hours He endured, and now I'm His prize.
When the child is born with piercing cries, no memory lasts. "It's worth it." Wise.
