April brings with it dual meanings: death & rebirth. I lost a good friend - "Chief".

Remembrance

The clear clang of a bay's red buoy bright,
resounds ringing across the sands flinging ...
in the mourning darkness heard, it is that night.

In the morning light heard, our heart's silent blight,
a godwit's peeps or the gull's shrill singing ...
the clear clang of a bay's red buoy bright.

The sea swells flop and throw froth alight,
in the darkness it lands upon bare feet flinging ...
in the mourning darkness heard, it is that night.

We drive along the coastline's bight,
sunlight upon the dawn's waters just beginning ...
the clear clang of a bay's red buoy bright.

If you peer with the help of a full Moon's light,
so many gilded, silvered fish in the shallows finning ...
in the mourning darkness heard, it is that night.

Remember to live life by faith and not by sight,
young or old, we've clearly played out the inning ...
the clear clang of a bay's red buoy bright.
