Tilly is sure she’s under surveillance
It may have been her guilty conscience but Tilly was sure she’d been followed after she’d left her lover’s house.
She had told her husband there was an after-work office meeting, but somehow she’d felt Brian hadn’t believed her.
Was he having her watched? She stopped walking on the pretence she was intrigued by a shop window’s display of power tools.
Yes, she was almost sure the man lighting a cigarette under the light of the street lamp was watching her, until his girlfriend or wife appeared and he kissed her.
Tilly was almost disappointed. She went home to confess.
