Alone on New Year’s Eve
You and me
We are living in a world of weary gold
The clock strikes 12 on New Year’s Eve
I hope this never ends,
not because I’m happy,
but because I don’t want to be alone.
The town is alive
But why do I feel dead inside?

Scream into the night
Are we all alone?
Does anyone hear me over the falling snow
It’s a new year
And I’m scared
I’m scared of these feelings I can’t tramp down
I’m crying at the bus stop
But there’s no bus today

It twelve o’clock on New Year’s Eve
And we’re all alone together
God bless America
