Coloring the waterfall

Coloring the waterfall.


The fall, a mix of white and blue
down the mountain slope
lit a spark of hope.


The artist’s eye caught the vibrant
water vivid and pure on the
slope in a shadow.


The patch under the sun, shines golden
like life lived in the thick of
joy unlike the one


in shadow subdued in charcoal grey.
Verdant forest, the skipping
water, wild flowers


in hues of pink, gold and lavender
and violet reflect in
the furious flow.


The fluid fall flattens, widens
on the plain, sedate
poised to unite


with river, pond and stream
like human life ready
to embrace all.
