Against all odds.
"Again and again, you come here. Why?"

I haven't any choice in the matter.

"You slaughter, you cull and murder, and yet still you come here. Whatever do you believe will change?"

Nothing. The world died long ago, I merely have the sense to remember it. Unlike most.

"The death of one plainly fails to justify the death of thousands. How-"

"ENOUGH. Do you not understand!? We're forever doomed to return to the first moments of Silence, and yet you sit here, quarreling over lives that mean nothing in the grand scheme of the world! The world is dead, but still clings to life through us, as though we have the power to think beyond our of god-forsaken squabbles."

And time after time, I'm fated to see bloodsoaked stone, a burning cottage, and the dying wreckage of Mia before it all.

I wish to warn her. To save her.

But Time... Time is an awful partner.
