A short poem.
I am set adrift.
A solitary ship out to sea.
There is no map to guide my way home.
I am,

Alone.

No compass nor star would suffice,
and yet.

When sail has been torn asunder,
and one’s crew has drowned at sea.
What choice have we remaining,
but to sally forth and row;
so that we might dream,
of far-flung shores.
