Do you believe it.

Henrietta was a classy hen
who sat upon her perch
she never ran, she never squawked
she was always on the search

now rooster Dan knew her well
and he began to crow
but Henrietta didn't care
she thought he was too slow

she walked the barnyard over
looking for a mate
she never thought of Dan
until it was too late

when she went looking
for mighty rooster Dan
she couldn't find him anywhere
for he was roasting in a pan

so, she gathered up his feathers
upon them she did lay
and there she did remain
until her dying day
