My fan fiction sequel of Ungifted by Gordon Korman
(This is a rough draft)

I felt proud. I won a Medal of Honor for saving a house. I did not care who got the glory anymore. No one bothered it, I wished my family would have appreciated me more though. Thankfully Noah was still my friend, but boy was I angry with him. I may not have been a winner, but I was no loser. "What do you know the dummy did something" I told Brad and Katie. "You are still my brother dude." Katie said holding Tina. "Katie, please help me prepare for dinner" Mom said when her way out. "Can you please help me?" Katie asked Brad, "Sure." Katie actually let me hold Tina for a while. Dad also came out, "You still have a long way to go son." "Thanks Dad" I replied sarcastically. "Mom, Dad" I suddenly blurted out. "Can I not go to school anymore?" Mom was shocked and asked, "What? Are you serious Donovan?" "Another school, I meant" I clarified. "Noah enrolled in a remedial school, can I go to a school near him or something?" "We will think about it" Mom said. "We still need one super kid around." "Yeah, to mow the grass" Dad said. I sighed exasperatingly. "You do not have to have my back, but can you at least love me?" I asked not knowing why the heck that came out. "We do love you" Mom said, "But, look at your considerations, you may not even be picked for a better school." "No one at school even likes me anymore, and I did save the house after all. Why can't more people appreciate me? It was such a big deal when everyone thought it was Noah, but when everyone found it was me, almost no one cared." "Donovan, your sister cares, Brad cares, I care, the governor cares, you have people in your life who are proud of what you did." I sighed. "What if I do better? I will babysit Tina. I will mow the lawn. I will do volunteer work, anything." I was that desperate to even care for a baby, which I was not suited for at all, the changing, the feeding, everything. "Just tell me what I need to, and I will do my best to do it."
