Comfort with the moon
While most prefer long walks with the sun
The moon knows my secrets
With her is where I most belong

It's not that I can't stand the light of day
But much enjoy dancing in the moon's gaze
With no hateful eye to be found

The sun is harsh much like its people
the moon just is without inviting
Offering safety from what seems so bright

The sun bares all no care for scars
While the moon just hears the heart
Recording it closely in the dark

When I do find myself in the sun's rays
I cross my fingers hope and even pray
Moon please don't skip my space
