Stuart Woods Loses the Big Bet Writers’ Cramp
Stuart Woods Looses the Big Bet Writers’ Cramp

36

One day Sam Adams
Went to a book festival

He saw Stuart Woods
The author of Stone Barrington novels
Speaking to an audience.
He was a big fan.

Sam sat in and listened
Got up and berated Stuart Woods
Saying,

“Your novels are so formulistic
A computer could write them
Are you up for the challenge?
I bet Big Blue could write them
Better than you could.”

Stuart looked at him,
And said,

“You are on.
Bring it on
I will prove mankind
Is better than any computer.”.

Sam worked for IBM
Went to the chief programmers
Of “Big Blue “and worked out the details
With Stuart Wood’s agents.

One year later
Critics and readers were given copies
Of the latest Stuart Woods novel
And Big Blue’s version.

The results came back
Big Blue won hands down
And Stuart Woods lost the best
Becoming Just the latest victim
Of the AI revolution.
