a silly poem for children
The Matriarch and the Mouse

Matriarch of the bush
With my long trunk I push
mammals out of my way
who don't see me as prey

Grey mouse is so tiny
He seems to be grimy
He eats grains and grass seeds
And oh, my, how he breeds

I could step on small you
As you creep through bamboo
But you make me shiver,
causing me to quiver

'Cuz you could invade my trunk
And plug it with mouse gunk.
