A ditty about Summer.

Ice cream cones melting fast
The loveliest of days never last
Wild under the burning sun
Jumping in puddles just for fun

Carriage rides in the park
Stolen kisses after dark
Recycled promises we can't keep
Erased emotions than ran so deep

These illusions come one by one
Summer is over now and done
Scrapbook clippings in a book
There for all to take a look.
