A conversation to someone after being betrayed
I hope you never miss me being there for you
And all the nice things I used to do
The little things I did every day
Just to show you my love every way
I tried to make all of your dreams come true
And did everything that I was able to do
You got to do everything you always wanted too;
Bought a new corvette, spent summers off in the pool
and even went to woodworking school
You were always in my heart and mind
I'd talk about you to everyone I could find
I loved you more than anyone
And couldn't wait until each day was done
I followed you blindly hand in hand
And went to every gig with your band
Every time you would sing
I'd sit there.. just day dreaming
I was always in the crowd
So happy and so proud
I loved you every way I could
Like I thought someone always should
Every day and every night
I believed we were so right
You were the master of the game
And when anything was wrong, I was to blame
You thought the world revolved around you
But in every relationship, there is two
I believed when you said, I was your best friend
And that we'd be together.. until the end
You told me, I was your "heaven on earth"
Only took a few weeks to decrease my worth
I always knew I loved you more
Especially the day, I walked in that hotel door
I've been grieving that day for years
And I still can't think it.. without tears
Betrayal is sharp as a knife
It even hurts more, now she's your wife
A Marriage Built on a foundation of cheating lies and "trust"
Maybe another 7 years before you bust
You're still my first and last thought of every day
I guess that pain will never go away
Forgiveness is a lie
And I will never even try
I hope someday when you are old
you'll feel pain in your heart from being so cold
And I hope there's a little hole in your soul
In the place that I used to hold
Maybe you’ll have regrets
For the things I'll never forget
Maybe you'll know you made a mistake someday
Eventhough, it will never matter anyway..
