Acrostic poem
Whether young or old you enjoy the sweet taste upon your lips
A red juicy slice of delight makes your heart and soul sing its praise
Treating yourself to such a wonderful fruit of summers growing
Every bite you take only makes you want more of the green melon
Rain has helped your endeavor to grow it more than bountiful
More than seeds had a part in its birth, it took a lot of love too
Each year you hope and pray that come Summer, you can eat it
Learning other things to do with it can be very much fun for you
Only one thing counts for me, that is eating as much as I can get
Nothing else is quite as joyful as a mouthful of WATERMELON.
