I emphasize with the moon

“Who are you when nobody’s watching?”
‘The moon’ I answer
‘Only the ones who feel my magic admire’
“In solitude?” They ask
‘The moon isn’t alone you know, the stars share his company’
“So the sun is the one who’s really alone?”

I then wonder
Does the sun know her true value?
What thrives through her?
Alone in the sky she reigns
Only sharing a glimpse with the moon

“Allow yourself to shine without the desire of being seen”
a warm voice answers
“Whilst interlining the moon tells me about mankind wandering his surface, I tell him how I am not alone, that the stars are still there for me, not visible”

‘You yourself are a star, aren’t you?’ I intervene
‘So you’re with him all the time?’
“Always” the sun says
As both lights switch places on the horizon
