What did the year 2022 do for you? A rough draft. Make suggestions in polite form.
Good bye dear old year
I’m through with you
I’m glad to be leaving, the year 2022.
It had some surprises,
Some good and some bad
And I’m tired of the problems
That made me mad.
There was covid with vaccinations
Without any choice
I talked to my doctors until
I lost my voice
The summer was so hot
And so were the bills,
Raising the thermostat
Was a battle of the wills
I flew to see some friends
Who I was happy to see
I did not lose my luggage
But the trip made a
Nervous wreck of me.

I hope 2023 will be filled
With joy and good health
If I could win the lottery
I’d be sharing some of my new wealth
The fireworks are starting,
I just have one prayer
For peace around the world and
Do something rare.
We all love one another
It would make us show our hearts
And never waste a minute
To be nice from this year’s start.
