The frustration of being the ''odd one'' in the family, and always being in trouble
I came into this world to live a life that I didn’t get to pick
I didn’t choose the struggles, not even how I fight to survive
You leave me asking, ‘’what did I do?”
I didn’t rebel against you because I hated you
I rebelled against you because my mind and body don’t cooperate
You leave me asking, ‘’what did I do?”
The discipline you delivered, was worse than what I did
I was a child, dealing with something I knew nothing about
You leave me asking, ‘’what did I do?’’
I was also dealing with things that I was forced to go through
Both would make you fall to your knees
You leave me asking, ‘’what did I do?’’
You’ve left me crying at the door
Sometimes, behind the door
You no longer have me asking ‘’what did I do?’’
I know exactly what I did…
I began talking!
