A poem for my wife. Written in 2020.
I've waited a thousand lifetimes and I would.
wait ten thousand more,
A million doors I've opened always wanting,
to be sure,
I've always been looking for someone for
something much more,
Now I've found her as I come so near,
to the edge of my shore.

I've finally found her, my hazel dream,
After patiently awaiting the one meant for me.

Humanity is found in her soft touch,
Affectionate empathy in her love,
Compassion and comfort she brings to me,
Exalted joy we share, consume, and feed.

Her presence love and words are what I need,
Her touch, taste, and feel are what I crave.

Like the pain of an addict I hunger,
hunger when she is away.
I've found who I've been looking for,
with whom to share the rest,
of my days.
