the gathering darkness


The darkness creeps unnoticed into minds
Hindered only by a flickering candle of right

Mankind’s hubris beckons gathering gloom
worshiping self-destructive devices, it made

Enemies are invited to sit at the harvest table
Feeding while plotting destruction of the host

Sitting comfortably and safe before the Screen
Entertainment replaces work as the world ends
