The world is full of dreadful things.
I used to be naïve and shy.
I’m not that anymore.
No, I have learned the facts of life,
believe me, that’s for sure.

This world is full of dreadful things,
just take a look around.
Oh, there is so much mess out there,
so many fears abound.

But I am so much wiser now.
Yes, much to my surprise.
The years since I have left my home
have opened up my eyes.

I wish I could go back in time
to when I was a child,
before I knew the outside world
where everything is wild.

Perhaps I am much better off
to know the world’s like this.
But still it was a better time
when ignorance was bliss.
