Short poem about sisterhood and being proud of ourselves and other women for standing up.
No, I don't walk around
wearing my uterus
like a hat,
but I am
proud
to be a woman.

Proud of my mothers -
for burning bridges
to the past.

Proud of my sisters -
for leaving normal
in the dust.

Proud of my daughters -
for standing tall
on our shoulders.

And proud of myself -
for finally believing
that we ALL deserve better.
