Do you even believe in love?
There are things I must evaluate,
are you real, are you fake,
are you gay, are you straight
are you bi, trans, all of the above?
Before I make a fool of myself, do you even believe in love?
Not this twenty-first century ish,
I want to promenade, hold hands, go to dinner and not rush it,
I want to stare longingly into your beautiful eyes,
plan out my future, the rest of our lives,
I want to stay on the phone until my voice completely dies,
fall asleep because we must, the suns about to rise,
so again do you even believe in love?
or am I a hopeless romantic asking for too much?
